Vehicle Overturns in Fatal Collision near China Gulch Drive in Redding

REDDING, CA (November 1, 2021) A deadly rollover crash along Canyon Road left one person dead last Monday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene just before 1:00 p.m., near Canyon Road and China Gulch Drive.

Eventually, the authorities arrived and determined that the crash ejected the driver from the vehicle. Investigators later learned that the driver travelled at a high rate of speed and swerved off the road.

Due to the impact of the crash, first responders declared the driver dead at the scene. Although, their identity and place of residency has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passenger to a nearby hospital for moderate injuries.

Redding Officials are now investigating the rollover crash on Canyon Road. More details will be provided once available.
