Fatality Reported after Solo-Car Collision on Zahadoom Way

MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2021) A fiery crash on West Road claimed the life of a driver and left his passenger injured.

The incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m., on West Road just north of Zahadoom Way near Redwood Valley.

According to investigators, a northbound 2017 Jeep Cherokee lost control for unknown reasons and veered off the road. As a result, the Jeep collided with a tree and caught on fire.

Eventually, a passing driver came to a stop to render aid for the victims inside the vehicle. However, due to the intensifying flames, the driver was trapped.

Due to the extent of their condition, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger received serious injuries.

At this time, the identities of those involved has not yet been provided.

Authorities are still currently investigating the fiery crash on West Road.
