Victim Pronounced Dead after Car Crash on Carey Road

IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA (June 10, 2022) – One victim was pronounced dead Wednesday evening, following an auto collision on Highway 86.

The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m., near Carey Road. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a vehicle crashed into a tractor. Upon impact, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding medics declared the driver dead at the scene.
