One Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Crash near 24th Street

PHOENIX, AZ (July 25, 2022) – Wednesday, one driver was pronounced dead following a fiery auto accident on Interstate 10.

The crash happened around midnight near 24th Street and Interstate 10. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, a speeding truck was heading south and suddenly crossed the center median for reasons unknown. As a result, the southbound truck collided head-on with an oncoming northbound truck.

Upon impact, both vehicles became engulfed in flames. Responding firefighters extricated one of the drivers trapped inside their vehicle and treated them for minor injuries.

Meanwhile, medics pronounced the other involved driver dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
