Fatal Big-Rig Accident on Bellevue Road Left Two Children Injured

MERCED COUNTY, CA (March 17, 2022) – Monday morning, a semi-crash on Fox Road left one person dead and two children injured.

The collision took place at the intersection of Fox and Bellevue Road shortly after 7:00 a.m.

Reports revealed that the driver of an SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection and crossed in front of an approaching semi-truck. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

Due to the impact of the crash, the driver of the SUV died at the scene. Meanwhile, two children inside the SUV were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera with unknown injuries.

The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties, before it was later reopened.
