Car Collision near Fulton Street Left One Driver Hospitalized

FRESNO, CA (June 7, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on Belmont Avenue near Fulton Street left one driver hospitalized early Friday morning.

According to the police, the incident happened just before 1:00 a.m. when a southbound driver on Fulton Street hit a driver traveling east on Belmont Avenue.

As a result, one of the vehicles caught on fire but first responders managed to put out the flames quickly.

Afterward, responders transported the woman inside the car that caught on fire to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, police said the driver of the other involved vehicle remained uninjured.

At this time, Fresno Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the two-vehicle crash. In addition, both drivers were tested for DUI.
