Vehicle Accident on Lavell Road Left One Hurt

SANTA ROSA, CA (March 21, 2022) – Tuesday, a Rincon Valley school bus driver sustained injuries after a collision on Mark West Springs Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Lavell and Mark West Springs Road around 3:39 p.m.

At least nine students were on the bus on their way to a basketball game, traveling eastbound on Mark West Springs Road.

Per reports, the driver attempted to turn left on Lavell Road and did not notice a Chevrolet Colorado pickup-truck. As a result, the pickup-truck driver struck the right front side of the bus.

The driver of the truck was “sore,” but was not taken to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the female bus driver sustained minor injuries. As a result, paramedics sent her to a local hospital for a medical assessment.

Furthermore, all students were uninjured and officials immediately transferred them to another bus. As of the time, the police did not disclose the identities of the drivers.

The bus and the pickup truck sustained minor damages as well.

An active investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
