One Hospitalized after Suspected DUI Collision near A Street

GALT, CA (May 21, 2024) Alfredo Robles was arrested early Tuesday night, after a school bus collision on Oak Avenue and A Street. Police officers received dispatch calls around 5:30 p.m., in the city of Galt. Investigators say the driver of a white pickup truck with a Wilbur-Ellis logo on its side had collided with a school bus. The school bus was carrying 20 students from the Galt Unified School District, but fortunately, none of the students were injured. Paramedics took the bus driver to a nearby hospital after the driver reported pain. After conducting preliminary investigations, authorities arrested the pickup truck driver, 66-year-old Alfredo Robles of Galt, on suspicion of DUI. No further details about the Oak Avenue school bus crash have been released at this time. The CHP will provide additional information as it becomes available.
