SUV Driver Seriously Injured in Big-Rig Collision near 50th Street

PALMDALE, CA (July 29, 2022) – At least one person was hospitalized after a semi-truck accident on Avenue M, Thursday evening.

The incident occurred along Avenue M and 50th Street around 11:49 p.m., on July 14.

According to reports, a Yukon Denali driver crashed into a semi-trailer for unknown reasons. Consequently, fluids spilled on the roadway, and officials called for the Los Angeles County Hazmat to help clean.

Paramedics then took the driver of the SUV to Antelope Valley Hospital with significant injuries, while the big-rig driver remained unharmed.

Crews closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
