Car Collision near Country Road 57 Left One Hurt

WILLOWS, CA (August 16, 2022) – Monday evening, a driver was hospitalized after a car crash on Interstate 5.

The collision occurred just before 8:00 p.m. on the Interstate, north of Country Road 57.

Investigators say a car occupied by two people collided with another vehicle occupied by a driver and their dog.

Medical responders arrived at the scene shortly after and transported the driver with the dog passenger to Enloe Medical Center. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity at this time. The dog was later looked after by Willows Fire Department until a friend of the owner could pick him up.

Meanwhile, the paramedics cleared the other parties involved in the collision.

Crews also closed off the surrounding area briefly during cleanup and preliminary duties. Currently, Willows Officials are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the car crash on Interstate 5.
