Police Looking for Driver Involved in Car Crash on Washington Street

EUREKA, CA (December 31, 2021) – Authorities are looking for the driver who escaped after a car crash on Broadway Street Tuesday evening.

The incident took place around 8:00 p.m. along Broadway and Washington Street.

According to reports, authorities arrived at the scene and found no driver or occupants in the car that struck the building of Don’s Rent-All along Broadway.

Officials said no injuries were reported from the crash. However, the impact of the crash caused major damage to the building, as well as to a power pole and street sign.

At this time, investigators are unsure as to what caused the driver to veer off the road. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.

The CHP asks any witnesses to call their local offices.
