One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Collision on near Mustang
SPARKS, NV (November 7, 2022) – An unidentified driver was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80, early Thursday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. on October 19th, east of Sparks, near Mustang.
According to NSP, a black Volvo was speeding westbound on I-80 when it clipped a van attempting to change lanes, forcing the Volvo into oncoming traffic. The Volvo was then struck by an eastbound silver Honda.
The impact of the collision killed the unidentified Volvo driver, who was declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the Honda driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Furthermore, traffic was backed up for several miles as authorities investigated the crash site. Sparks authorities urge any witnesses with information to call their local offices immediately.
