1 Killed in Big-Rig Collision near Duncan Canyon Road

FONTANA, CA (March 24, 2022) – Early Friday morning, a driver was pronounced dead after a semi-truck accident on Interstate 15.

The crash occurred around 2:53 a.m., on the southbound side of Interstate 15, near the Duncan Canyon Road exit.

Investigators say the semi-truck was parked on the right shoulder of the highway at the time. For reasons unknown, a driver veered off the freeway and slammed into the rear of the tractor-trailer.

San Bernardino firefighters arrived to the scene and rendered aid to the severely injured driver. However, medics later pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

It is still unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision. Although, an active investigation into the crash is still currently underway.

At this time, the California Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate the deadly semi-truck accident on Interstate 15.
