Man Arrested after High-Speed Chase on 210 Freeway

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CA (August 5, 2021) – Authorities arrested a still unidentified driver following a police chase on 210 Freeway, Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened early Monday morning on the 210 Freeway.

Due to speeding allegations, officers attempted to stop a vehicle and speak with the driver. However, the driver of the vehicle fled, resulting in a high speed chase.

During the pursuit, the grey sedan quickly drove across multiple lanes, colliding with the back of a pickup truck before slamming into another, spinning the grey sedan around on the freeway.

Eventually, the chase came to an end around 9:00 a.m., in Baldwin Park, when the driver came to a halt, emerged, and knelt on the ground. After that, the car briefly rolled down the street before colliding with a curb.

Officers then arrested the driver and searched his severely damaged vehicle.

At this time, officials stated no injuries were reported. However, an active investigation is still underway.
