At Least One Injured in Auto Collision near North First Street
FRESNO, CA (September 19, 2022) – Friday morning, one driver was arrested and one passenger was injured in a DUI accident on East Shields Avenue.
The incident happened shortly after 1:00 a.m., near the intersection of along North First and East Shields Avenue.
For reasons under investigation, two vehicles collided in the area. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.
In addition, officers arrived and arrested one of the drivers for DUI. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported his passenger to a local hospital with minor injuries. Moreover, the other driver remained unharmed.
Emergency crews temporarily closed the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing and preliminary duties. At this time, authorities are conducting an investigation and further information about the DUI accident on East Shields Avenue will be released once available.
