Helicopter Landed in National Trail Highway to Airlift Car Crash Victim on 1st Street

ORO GRANDE, CA (November 29, 2021) – A crash near 1st Street left one person hospitalized Saturday evening.

The collision occurred around 6:03 p.m. near 1st Street. Crews arrived just south of Riverside Preparatory High School.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located an older model Honda partially lodged into a structure. Subsequently, Victorville City Firefighters used tools to extricate a male and sole occupant from the vehicle.

A helicopter landed on the scene to transport the unconscious male victim to a hospital.

Meanwhile, Oro Grande Officials stopped the traffic along National Trails Highway while the helicopter landed.

At this time, the CHP Victorville is working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash on 1st Street.
