One Hospitalized after Truck Accident near Wendover Boulevard

ELKO, NV (November 1, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a truck driver sustained injuries following a semi-truck collision on Interstate 80.

The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 near Wendover Boulevard.

According to reports, a flatbed truck collided with the back of a semi-truck. A fire erupted as a result of the collision and bystanders assisted with a fire extinguisher. The impact of the collision left one person trapped in the wreckage.

Paramedics later came and extricated the victim from the wreck and airlifted him to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. At this time, the identity of the injured man is being withheld.
