DreamDoll is Misunderstood: Bronx rapper and reality star DreamDoll has released new mixtape Life in Plastic 3, and a new video for “Misunderstood.”
According to the press release, “Misunderstood,” “finds the artist opening up about her past over emotional piano chords. ‘You grow up like this, it’s only right to be heartless,’ she spits. ‘You gotta learn quick: take a shot or be the target.’ The song’s introspective tone is reflected in the accompanying video, which stars DreamDoll walking the streets of New York in a plastic bubble—revealing all of herself while still remaining distanced from the world around her. Like an astronaut finding meaning as they float through space, she raps from her protective cocoon, thinking deeply as she observes the world around her.”
It is a fascinating video, DreamDoll’s naked self wandering the streets in a bubble, seemingly oblivious. to all that’s going on around her as she raps the autobiographical tale.
“Life In Plastic 3 also includes the French Montana-assisted hit ‘Ice Cream Dream’ as well as raucous party jams like ‘Ass For Days’ and Twerk School’,” reads the release. “When she isn’t dropping her own songs, DreamDoll is an in-demand feature artist, recently popping up on Kash Doll’s ‘ABOW’ and King Combs’ ‘Gas You Up‘.”
