Dr. Tiffany Moon is more than just a name; she’s an incredible source of inspiration, showing the world what it means to be a multifaceted woman in medicine. Dr. Moon’s life story is a remarkable journey from a young immigrant to a luminary in both medicine and television. Breaking barriers, she became the first Asian-American featured on Real Housewives of Dallas (RHOD) and the first medical doctor to appear on any Real Housewives series. Her path exemplifies living fearlessly and embracing one’s true self.

Born into a family that valued perseverance and hard work, Dr. Moon saw her parents face many challenges after they moved to the United States, and these tough times taught her to be determined. By the time she was 19, she had already graduated with honors from Cornell University, an achievement that speaks volumes about her intellect and drive. Not stopping there, she continued her impressive rise by graduating with top honors from UT Southwestern Medical School at 23.

Dr. Moon’s academic accomplishments were just the beginning. She attended one of the most prestigious anesthesiology residency programs at UCSF, further cementing her status as a leading figure in her field. She has been named a Distinguished Educator by the American Society of Anesthesiologists and has also received D Magazine’s ‘Best Doctor’ award multiple times. She has a passion for taking care of patients, teaching medical students and residents, and advancing anesthesiology through clinical research.

Yet, there’s more to Dr. Moon than her academic and professional accolades. She uses her influence to encourage and inspire others. As a woman in medicine, Dr. Tiffany Moon is changing ideas about what it means to be a doctor. She won the “best dressed” award in medical school but also graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, showing that one can be professional and still have fun with fashion and personal style. Today, she works with a charity to provide dresses, shoes, and accessories to underserved girls so that they can attend prom. She encourages women to embrace their femininity and individuality without compromising their professional integrity.

Outside of the hospital, she continues to be CEO of Aromasthesia Candle Company, a line of medically-themed candles that are hand-poured with premium ingredients in Dallas. In the future, the company will expand to include diffusers and room sprays in its product offerings. She is also CEO of Three Moons Wine, which she started with her husband in 2009. The wine has been so popular that they are ramping up production next year. Each year, Tiffany and her husband enjoy their annual trip to Napa Valley to blend their wine.

When asked what advice she would give other busy professionals, she says, “Always make time for your self-care.” Previously, Dr. Moon seldom found time for herself with her multiple roles as a doctor, entrepreneur, mom, and wife. She was always so busy taking care of other people—her patients, kids, husband, and friends—that she sacrificed her own well-being. “I really let myself go—I wasn’t going to the gym, wasn’t sleeping well, or eating healthy foods—until one day I realized that it didn’t have to be like this.” Dr. Moon realized that she wouldn’t be able to take care of others if she wasn’t taking care of herself first. So, she started to learn how to set limits and say no more often. This led her to find a balance between work, family, and herself. “After investing in my own self-care, I feel much more centered and much healthier.”

Dr. Moon wants to use her experiences and lessons learned to motivate and inspire others. She’s currently writing her first book, a memoir with some life lessons sprinkled throughout. She hopes to inspire women to be their most authentic selves and reach their full potential. To that end, she’s also learning how to be an executive coach so that she can help other professional women find the balance between their work and personal lives.

Dr. Tiffany Moon personifies being strong, creative, and inspiring. From studying at top universities to being on TV and starting her own businesses, she shows what it means to live life your own way. Her story isn’t just motivating; it’s a guide for anyone who wants to dream big and be true to themselves.
