Exciting new dessert shop Pudu Pudu has opened on Abbot Kinney Blvd. where puddings are created by the “puddistas” while customers can watch and slurp edible art creations. Brought to L.A. for it’s very first store opening by the famed German pudding brand Dr. Oetker, which was founded by Dr. August Oetker in 1891, it’s not your Oma’s baking and pudding varieties. Flavors include:

Midnight Mischief: Milk chocolate and Calamansi orange pudding, cocoa, triple chocolate curls and sticks.

Wow In The Wild: Wild blueberry pudding, white chocolate curls, dusting of blueberry antioxidants, edible blossoms, fresh blueberries and raspberries. 

Giggle In The Dark: Caramel-popcorn pudding caramel and fudge, puffed toffee popcorn, cocoa, sea salt and dark chocolate curls.

Sun Catcher: Spiced turmeric pudding, fresh pomegranate seeds, dusting of blue spirulina antioxidants, edible hibiscus flower and coconut crunch.

Cool Ocean Dip: Coconut-pineapple pudding, dusting of spirulina antioxidants, fresh and dried pineapple, coconut crunch.

And speaking of the Germans, ZWILLING, the German premium cutlery and kitchenware brand, has opened its first and only ZWILLING Neighborhood Shop in the U.S. at the Santa Monica Place. The 290-year-old company is famous for its knives and scissors and also carries everything from cookware, flatware and glassware to kitchen gadgets and manicure kits.

On Sunday, March 28, at 11 a.m., Steep LA will be hosting the Stop Asian Hate Charity Sale at Steep LA in the courtyard of Mandarin Plaza, Chinatown. Participants – including Now Serving, Amboy, Katsu Sando, Lasita, Angry Egret Dinette, Ricebox, Konbi, Ototo, KinKan and Pique-Nique – have donated food items, baked goods and lifestyle goods. Every dollar from the sale will be donated to StopAAPIhate.org. The sale will run until items are sold out.

Dine-in Taco Tuesday is back at Gracias Madre with plant-based favorites like the jackfruit taco (braised jackfruit, purple cabbage, moreta salsa and avocado), al pastor (three mushroom blend, pina adobo salsa, escabeche and grilled pineapple) and the chicharon (breaded oyster mushroom, habanero salsa, watermelon radish, micro cilantro).

SoCal-based, wellness-focused coffee brand Humblemaker Coffee Co. is partnering with The Autism Community in Action (TACA) to create a custom coffee in honor of Autism Action Month in April. The roasted-to-order TACA Blend will be sold in both their Seal Beach cafe and online beginning April 1 with all proceeds being donated to TACA. The mélange roast is available as whole bean or ground coffee and has dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla bean notes.
