The increasingly fascinating music label-collective-initiative Vosotros has just kicked off a new monthly release series with a pair of free MP3s from Inara George and Charlie Wadhams.

Willoughby mastermind Gus Seyffert produces and co-writes both “Q” — starring the singer best known for her work in the Bird and the Bee (and also the Living Sisters) — and “Arranging My Life” by Wadhams, a local folkie.

The Sargent Singles series, co-released by Seyffert's Sargent Records, will “bring together a rotating cast of creative musicians to collaborate on a deadline.” Though Vosotros founder John Gillilan was hesitant to say who'll contribute to upcoming installments, he pointed out that Seyffert has worked closely with Benji Hughes and Sia, among others.

Among Vosotros's numerous ongoing endeavors are the Learning Music Monthly project and the 'Vosostros Presents…” series, which produced an excellent Mia Doi Todd collaboration last month. The organization typically utilizes Creative Commons licenses, which means a whole lot of free music if you're interested in things like that.

Download the George and Wadhams songs for free via Sargent Records. And just for kicks, here's Willoughby's 2008 video for “Frankenstein,” co-written by Benji Hughes.
