36-Year-Old Man Runs Over Girlfriend in Collision on Irwin Street

TULARE, CA (January 21, 2021) – Police arrested Douglas Jeremiah Miller for DUI after running over his girlfriend, Wednesday night.

According to the investigators, the suspect and his partner had an argument around 7:00 p.m., near Bardsley Avenue and Irwin Street.

Afterward, Miller attempted to drive away while his girlfriend chased after him, trying to get into the passenger side of his vehicle. Miller then pulled away, running over the woman.

Shortly after, first responders arrived and transported the woman to a hospital in critical condition.

Authorities eventually arrested 36-year-old Miller after resisting arrest. Officers later put him into custody, facing DUI charges, obstruction, and related charges.
