Dorado's Ceviche Bar, which only opened in Monterey Park in early May, has been closed by the health department, but not for (un)sanitary reasons. The restaurant was operating without a public health permit in violation of section 8.04.932 of the city code, according to the LA County Health Department sign in the window. It's a strange turn of events, given that the ceviche bar was/is operated by an experienced restaurateur.

Dorado's Ceviche Bar: Closure Sign

Ricardo Diaz is the man behind Cook's Tortas, Guisados and now defunct Dorado's Tacos, known for their fish tacos.

The advance word on Dorado's Ceviche Bar was good, so we hope the hand-written sign in the window is correct when it says, “Will open in June.”
