PETA is offering to pay “Octomom” Nadya Suleman to endorse the spaying and neutering of pets, the animal-rights group announced Tuesday. A proposed slogan would be posted on a sign on Suleman's front lawn: “Don't let your dog or cat become an 'Octomom.'”

The offer comes amid reports that Suleman could lose her La Habra residence because her father is not current with mortgage payments on the place. Already, porn company Vivid has offered Octomom a contract to appear in at least one adult video as a way to save the home.

PETA special projects manager Michelle Cho sent a letter to Suleman's lawyer stating that a deal with PETA to post the sign would be a “win-win situation: It would help you and your children to keep your home and also reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats.”

Cho writes:

“When you gave birth to octuplets to bring your total number of children to 14, you grabbed headlines and got the world talking about your controversial decision. Now will you help turn some of that attention to another important matter–the dog and cat overpopulation crisis? Every year, 6 to 8 million animals are turned over to animal shelters, and roughly half of them are euthanized because of the lack of good homes.”
