Colton Davis Involved in Bicycle Accident near Herrick Avenue

EUREKA, CA (October 28, 2022) – Sunday evening, Donald Ferguson was killed in a bicycle collision along Highway 101. 

The accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 101, south of Herrick Avenue. 

According to reports, Ferguson was riding his bicycle in the area when he was struck by a Chevrolet pickup for reasons under investigation. The impact of the collision left the rider with serious injuries.

Emergency crews arrived after and pronounced the 51-year-old Donald Ferguson dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver, 29-year-old Colton Davis from Eureka remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. 

No further details regarding the Highway 101 bicycle accident have been released to the public at this time. Eureka Officials are still investigating the incident and will provide more information once it becomes available.
