A man fatally shot on June 20 around 1:00 a.m. in Central Alameda has been identified as Donald Campbell. (See map after the jump)

The shooting occurred on the 1100 block of East 27th Street. Campbell, 52, was apparently involved in a verbal dispute and was shot by an unknown suspect in the chest, said Officer Samuel Rhone of LAPD's Newton Division. He was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. Police are searching for the suspect involved in the shooting.
