Busy day for rescues by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
And not a one of them, at least among the incidents publicized by the LAFD, involved a human in need of help. Nope, first the department revived a pair of cats following a fire, then they rescued a dog who had been stranded on the side of a Hollywood Hills cliff for nearly three days:
The pair of felines were revived with oxygen after they were found limp following a fire at a two-story home in Del Rey today.
The blaze at 12000 N. Louise Avenue was reported at 10:06 a.m. and was doused less than 25 minutes later, according to the LAFD:
“Two limp and lifeless family cats,” were revived with oxygen, the department said. The cause of the blaze was said to be “electrical.”
Not long afterward, at about 11:02 a.m., firefighters were sent to a cliff in the Hollywood Hills to rescue a dog stranded there since Monday.
