Put us out of our misery already.

Associated Press reports that Major League Baseball will likely begin its long threatened Dodger takeover attempt by filing a motion in bankruptcy court that would seek to terminate the franchise.

In other words, they want Frank McCourt out and the league in.

This happened after McCourt's bankruptcy filing yesterday and subsequent $150 million lifeline that would, in theory, keep the team afloat for now.

McCourt wants the bankruptcy judge in Delaware to let him keep the team and solidify a $1 billion-plus TV rights deal with Fox that would put him, his lifestyle, soon-to-be ex-wife, and, oh yeah, the Dodgers, in the black — in that order.
