In front of a sold out crowd at Dodgers Stadium on Sunday, Big Blue blew out the Philadelphia Phillies 7-2 in the third game of a seven-game series for the National League Championship. The Dodgers still trail the Phillies one game to two, but the team can even the series with a win tonight at Chavez Ravine.

So far, timely hitting with two outs has been the key to wins for both teams. The Phillies had a big inning in game two when they scored four runs with two outs and won the game 8-5. Last night, the Dodgers got a clutch three-run triple from second baseman Blake DeWitt, who cleared the bases with two outs in the first inning.

The Dodgers also played good defense, unlike the first two games. The team made no errors in the field, and Hiroki Kuroda pitched an excellent game for Big Blue, allowing only two earned runs over six innings. Derek Lowe, who pitched five, strong innings in game one, but then became rattled in the sixth inning and gave up three runs that ultimately won it for the Phillies, will pitch game four tonight, which starts at 5:22 p.m. Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully will be calling the match up on 790 KABC radio.
