On the eve of the 2020 Presidential Election, early voting options are still available in Los Angeles, with landmark entertainment venues such as Dodger Stadium and Staples Center serving as voting centers.

In an effort to encourage early voting and provide more spacious, pandemic-friendly options, several venues throughout Los Angeles have provided voters the opportunity to vote at these non-traditional locations.

The NBA Players Association began the initiative to have their playing venues used as voting centers as part of its season-restarting negotiation terms with the league. It was then that every NBA-partnered arena agreed to be used as a voting center, a concept that was then adopted by several landmark venues in L.A., such as Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium, Banc of California Stadium, the Hollywood Palladium, The Forum, Universal City Walk, The Hollywood Bowl and even the Magic Castle.

Several locations are giving away custom “I voted stickers,” such as the Pantages Theater’s Hamilton-themed sticker, and Staples Center’s Laker-themed sticker.

While these landmark locations will be available for any registered voter in L.A. County, there are more than 600 voting centers available throughout the county, as well as 405 ballot dropbox locations where a designated ballot retriever will collect them and inspect them.

All voting centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. If a voter mailed a ballot and wants to check the status of their mail-in ballot, they may confirm that it was tallied through LAvote.net.
