Just picture it: It's a beautiful day at Dodger Stadium. You're with your significant other, both stuffing your faces at the All-You-Can-Eat Right Field Pavilion waiting for the home team to play the Cincinnati Reds. Then she gives you that pained look: She needs to pee. But instead of heading to the john, she gracefully lifts her leg and lets loose right there, for all the park to see on the Jumbotron. That's 'cause it's Bark in the Park at Dodger Stadium. So treat your Pekingese, poodle, Pomeranian or unpedigreed pooch to a day of balls-out fun. It all starts with a Pup Rally, starring Tillman the Skateboarding Dog, followed by contests galore: Tillman Lookalike, Biggest, Smallest, and Companion-Dog Lookalike. Afterward, Fifi can strut her stuff at the Pet Parade. Then, play ball! There are a couple of catches (and we're not talking baseball lingo here): 1) all owners must bring proof of vaccinations (not for you, for the dog) 2); all dogs must wear identification tags (again, for the dogs, not your fugly boy/girlfriend); 3) You must purchase a ticket for your dog. Check out the online rules before you proceed. But it's worth it. Not only do partial proceeds go to the SPCA, but when was the last time you got your face licked in appreciation? Dodger Stadium, Sat., Aug. 21, pup stuff starts at 5:10 p.m., game at 7:10 p.m. $25, spcala.com/special_events/barkinpark2010.shtml.
