Comments are raging about who won this week's California gubernatorial debate between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown.

Both sides have good points — with some questioning the true success of Meg Whitman's tenure at eBay and others pointing out that the last time Jerry Brown was governor the Golden State wasn't exactly rolling in dough.

Our commenter du jour, however, brings up a good question about Whitman: Should we trust some one who has spent so much of her own money (actually $140 million and counting) for the state's top job?

Meg Whitman is on an expensive ego trip. Anyone who spends 120 Million and more of their own money for a political office has lost all touch with common sense. Ill vote for Brown …
