DMORR describes himself as an innovator in every field he’s entered, whether as a musician or as a CPA in his profession of accounting. A lifelong enthusiast of music, a skilled trumpet, piano, and bass player, and a naturally talented wordsmith, he has written more than 700 songs to date, many of which are already available for the public to enjoy. Determined to share his passion with other music lovers, DMORR announced the release of three new albums – Voyage I, Voyage II, and A Country Mile – set to launch from now until late 2024.

An homage to the times he first fell in love with the power of singing, the records will be available on CDs, with vintage CD players sold alongside. With over 30 songs across three LPs, DMORR promises one thing: no track will sound the same. What sparked this three-fold project was the cultural exploration of the vibrant Caribbean, which spurred the creation of Voyage, track No. 3 on Voyage I.

When traversing the turquoise Caribbean waters on a Carnival cruise with his family beside him and a keyboard in his bag, DMORR unleashed his creativity. Sat on the deck, listening to the water churning all around, every wave felt like a tide of inspiration, guiding his fingers across the instrument as they portrayed the artist’s soul in a beautiful melody. From there, a musical story unfolded naturally – a story of unconfined expression and embracing the universe’s uniqueness.

When listeners play Voyage I, they will be welcomed with Always90 and immediately immersed in the invigorating realm of jazz, funk, and rock. The tunes that follow, from the R&B Simply Love to Sweet as Honey, a smooth jazz trumpet song, and Time to Feel Beautiful featuring his daughter, will continue this stimulating journey, merging the beauty of music with the impact of storytelling in a powerful blend of genres and emotions.

In every album, DMORR encapsulates a message of human-centrism, raising social awareness about some of the issues permeating the world. For instance, Reflections is a hip-hop hymn about the life experiences, hopes, and dreams of a terminally ill pediatric patient while Bombs Away is a gripping ode illuminating the effect of war on children, drawing from the perspective of Ukrainian kids caught amidst the fire.

In Voyage II, DMORR included Money Makes Money Faster, an uptempo jazz creation dedicated to raising financial literacy awareness and empowering youth to carve their own paths. The album is abundant with inspirational messages and heart-wrenching stories, such as Sarah Jane, an emotional homage to a middle school student who passed away from a rare form of leukemia, representing her as an angel ushered into heaven by God.

In a bold step away from modern-day trends, DMORR curated A Country Mile; more than an album filled with country tunes, A Country Mile is a story of a Black cowboy who took a high-end job in California after growing up in rural America. As he follows dreams of prosperity, his heart yearns for the country girl he left behind. Riding a horse and determined to find happiness, the cowboy takes listeners through an emotional journey, accompanied by the unique sound of In Grandma’s Arms, A Country Mile, Truck Driving School, and many more.

With all the political pressures erupting around the world, DMORR says his music might bring peace and comfort to his listeners. People could find inspiration and solace in the soothing melodies that each tell a story they can relate to.

With eyes set on the ultimate dream – winning a Grammy – DMORR continues to enrich the lives of humanity through impactful melodies and lyricism, delivering nothing but sheer emotions, novelty, and musical genius. “When people listen to these albums, I want them to break away from the same old commercial sound.
