Superstar Dutch DJ Tiësto has just confirmed that, despite Internet rumors to the contrary, he is in fact alive.

The Umlauted One had been reported dead in California by online hoaxters this morning. It's entirely possible people might have been led to believe the rumor by Tiësto's lifeless facial expressions, and that they might have misinterpreted his trademark anemic fist-pumping and raise-the-roofing as some kind of post-mortem reflex.

According to the NME:

This morning (July 7) a report began circulating on the internet claiming that the Dutch mixer had died in California – but he has since released a statement saying he is alive and well.

“I don't know where these stories come from, but I'm very much alive and well and looking forward to the rest of my tour,” Tiësto said.
