Incredibly, this dive bar in Manhattan Beach still sports a small, decades-old passenger airplane crashed into its roof. The Hangar Inn, so near to the South Bay aerospace hub of Northrop, McDonnell-Douglas and Xerox (paper airplanes), harks to a swiftly receding time of no terror and lots of laughter from the inebriated soul who stumbled out to the parking lot and observed the tail of the plane sticking out from the roof with no apparent damage to the inside of the establishment. Talk about getting wrecked! 1001 N. Aviation Blvd., Manhattan Beach, (310) 379-0836.
