The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, returns to Los Angeles for its 14th edition and largest fair to date, featuring 150 independent artists from around the globe from Thursday, Sept. 25, to Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

The event will showcase a mix of contemporary art, immersive installations, live performances, interactive experiences, and family-friendly activities, making art collecting accessible, affordable, and fun, with curated collections of artworks priced from under $200 to $2,000. 

For the first time, the fair will feature the  Dread Spa, a cleanse for the soul and chakra tune-up through a series of immersive and restorative experiences. Highlights include the Auditory Odyssey, an immersive sound bath by Allison Bagg, The Karmacy 2.0, an installation of karmic exchanges, and personalized offerings like Animal Guide Oracle Readings by Alycia Shiann and Aura Portraits by Mad Watson.

The Salon Carré is an art parlor created by still-life photographer Heather Allison and Melissa Johnson of Miss Havisham’s Curiosities, inspired by 18th-century Parisian salons. It features one-of-a-kind objects and complimentary tea leaf readings on Sunday, September 28. 

The fair will also spotlight an emerging artist through the New Futures Award. Established in 2021, the program offers mentorship and a complimentary exhibition booth to support exceptional, up-and-coming talent. This edition’s awardee is Los Angeles–based artist Kipkemoi, who will debut new work at the fair. Kipkemoi is a German-Kenyan self-taught artist based in Los Angeles.

Other special programming includes opening night with DJ Phatrick and complimentary whisky cocktails by Balcones Distilling, a Mariachi Tierra Mía performance on Saturday, Sept 27, and a Scavenger Hunt by Joe Kraft, and Kids Create activities: “Picture Yourself” + “Art Detective.

The Other Art Fair offers a variety of food and beverage options, including Thai Mex Cocina, the  Word of Mouth plant-based food truck, Arrvo Coffee on Saturday and Sunday, and Cali Craving (available Friday only), with smash burgers and fries. LA LA Lasagna will serve up classic lasagna and Italian dishes, and  Balcones Distilling will offer samples of its award-winning American Single Malt whiskies and whisky cocktails available for purchase at the fair bar for those 21 and over.
