Momed: interior

Momed, known for its killer duck shawarma, dense house-made halvah bars and strong cups of Turkish coffee, is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Through the end of May, the sleek, year-old “modern Mediterranean” restaurant is selling its Turkish lattes for only $1 and discounting all its Intelligentsia espresso drinks to half-off during Espresso Happy Hour (2:30 – 5:30 p.m.). To cap off the month, Momed will hold a 365 Eat Share Peace anniversary party on Tuesday, May 31st.

The event, held from 6 to 8 p.m., includes a Mediterranean dinner featuring highlights from Momed's menu as well as wine and beer. Work by local artist Sophia Gasparian will be displayed and offered at auction during the event. The $30 admission includes an Eat Share Peace t-shirt.

100% of proceeds from the sale of the shirts and the artwork will be donated to the US-Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund and the American Red Cross/Southern Tornado Relief.
