WHAT: According to Wikipedia, a Dirty Sanchez is a sex-related act performed by Dustin “Screech” Diamond from Saved by the Bell in his recent sex tape. Don’t worry, the trio’s titillating theatrics never go too far, and ultimately it’s their catchy, robotic rhythms and acerbic lyrics that suck you in.

WHERE: At the Key Club’s post-Halloween show with MySpace sensation Jeffree Star, Wed., Nov. 1.

BACK IN THE CRACK: Barbeau has provided sultry soundtracks for popular clubs, including Miss Kitty’s Parlour. Beat’s background includes stints in a KISS cover band, Kiss My Fat Ass; the Club Makeup–spawned cross-dressing collective called World Dominatrix (with Alexis Arquette); and one-(wo)man stage shows across the country. Diaz made a splash with his NYC “den of sin,” Cock, and has continued the phallic fun in L.A. with the less-than-subtle gay clubs Hot Dog at 7969 and Big Fat Dick at Fubar.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Barbeau cites the B-52’s, Human League, Depeche Mode and Thrill Kill Kult. Jackie adds Kiss, Devo, the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, and the Upper Crust. Mario snitches, “Barbeau’s main influence is marijuana, I’m a vodka man, and Jackie is high on ranch dressing.”

ELECTRO-BASHIN’ AND BEYOND: Titles like “Tranny Sex,” “Really Rich Italian Satanists” and “We Hate Youth and Beauty” (off Dirty’s latest Hypnotic/Cleopatra release) may seem silly, but a quick peel reveals more than dance-floor electroclash rehash. Not unlike Peaches, D.S. transcend the flailing, synth-driven trend, thanks to stage charisma, killer costumes and thematic agitprop. “Every freak with a computer was suddenly putting their awful voices through a vocoder and singing poorly written, unclever songs about sex,” says Beat, who strives for more with tunes touching on interpersonal façades and racial stereotypes. “Some songs are essentially standup comedy, but others are practically anthems for underground revolution.”
