53-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Mile Marker 30
SANTA FE COUNTY, NM (September 27, 2023) – Late Saturday night, a motorcycle accident claimed the life of Dirk Stronck on State Road 14.
At approximately 11:50 p.m., authorities arrived at the location near mile marker 30.
According to initial accounts, the motorcycle rider was traveling north when they lost control and collided with the guardrail.
Medics pronounced the rider dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained. The victim was later identified as 53-year-old Stronck, a resident of Los Cerrillos.
For a brief time, emergency crews closed off the vicinity to facilitate cleanup and preliminary procedures. Officers believe that impairment played a role in the crash. Additional information will be released as it is made available.
