About Last Knife, or ALK, is helmed by Chef Steven Blackburn and features a New American menu with plenty of plant-based options that center the best in local produce. Easily found right off of the lobby, this SoCal-centric restaurant and bar offers a casual fine dining experience.
Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, ALK should be at the top of your list of the best LA restaurants to try. The menu is a delight to consider, shining a light on fresh local ingredients, sustainably-sourced meats, premium fresh-caught fish and an impressively wide selection of plant-based and vegan options.

The carefully decorated space encourages a social and vibrant ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a memorable meal.
The dining style is casual fine-dining, and should you want to match the spare, its color palettes include smoky green and blush pink juxtaposed with black-and-white finishes, along with design statements such as a large draping pearl necklace hanging from the ceiling.

Possibly our most-treasured new hot spot is The Godfrey Hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge. Called IO ROOFTOP, it is the largest rooftop space in Hollywood, and on our shortlist of the coolest rooftop dining experiences in LA. You can find it by making your way to the roof – or seventh floor – of The Godfrey. You’ll know you’re there when you stop in awe to take in the breathtaking views of Hollywood’s most iconic landmarks.

Described as “a sophisticated oasis in the middle of LA buzz,” guest of IO are invited to relax at the pool, enjoying sunshine, soothing music and a tropical cocktail by day, which turns into dancing, live music and art shows and a craft cocktail by night.
IO ROOFTOP offers 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space featuring a beautifully appointed sun-deck, two bars, shimmering pool, 70-foot projection mapping video wall, fire pits and al-fresco dining.
