1-Year-Old and Infant Injured in Suspected DUI Accident on Edna Crane Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 31, 2022) – Sunday morning, Dillon Kazjah was arrested after a single-vehicle crash on Camino Al Norte.

Police responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m., near Edna Crane Avenue.

Crews say Kazjah was driving a 2012 Chrylser 200 north on Camino Al Norte when she failed to maintain her travel lane.

As a result, she veered off the roadway and struck a Las Palmares neighborhood sign. Kazjah’s two children, one just a few months old and the other about 1-year-old, were not restrained at the time.

Investigators say 24-year-old Kazjah fled the scene with her two young children. Eventually, officers located her and the young occupants of the vehicle. As a result, medics transported the children to UMC Trauma with serious injuries.

Kazjah now faces charges of driving with a suspended license, hit-and-run, failure to secure her children in restraints, excessive speeds, and failure to maintain her lane. In addition, officers suspect that impairment played a factor.

Operating a vehicle is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Maintain focus on the road and avoid distractions that could easily lead to dangerous collisions. By practicing safe driving habits, you can help keep yourself and others around you safe.
