22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Vehicle Collision near East Escalante Road

TUCSON, AZ (May 15, 2023) – Thursday night, a motorcycle crash near South Prudence Road claimed the life of Dillon Alexander Long.

The incident happened on May 11th, at about 8:00 p.m., near South Prudence Road and East Escalante Road.

According to the Tucson police, a motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Long, and a Nissan hatchback were involved in the collision.

Upon investigation, the Nissan was stopped at a stop sign and attempted to cross Escalante Road when he crashed with Long traveling eastbound.

Unfortunately, even though Long was wearing a helmet, he died due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.

Investigators later reported that the crashed was caused by a failure by the Nissan to stop at a red light.
