Mega-blogger and senatorial candidate Mickey Kaus is wondering aloud this week if the Los Angeles Times spiked a piece about him. Kaus writes on his site that Jonah Goldberg interviewed him for a piece in the Times that ended up in … the conservative National Review.

“When he interviewed me … it seemed pretty clear he was writing it for the L.A. Times,” Kaus writes. “I wonder what happened?”

The National Review piece credits Kaus, who is challenging Barbara Boxer for the Democratic nomination in California, for taking decidedly un-Democratic (or at least more independent-minded) views on immigration and unions.
