Big Rig Accident on Capitol Expressway Left One Fatality

SAN JOSE, CA (June 28, 2022) A pedestrian crash on Monterey Road left 64-year-old Diane Brager dead, Thursday afternoon.

According to the police, the incident happened around 1:44 p.m. on Monterey Road and Capitol Expressway.

Furthermore, the reports revealed that a big rig driver turning left from southbound Monterey, towards westbound Capitol Expressway, struck a woman.

Investigators said the woman was using a marked crosswalk but crossing at a red light while the big-rig driver turned on a green light.

Eventually, the responding officials declared the woman dead at the scene. The County Medical Examiner-Corner’s Office later identified the woman as 64-year-old Diane Brager.

Furthermore, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

No further details regarding the pedestrian crash have been released to the public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.

San Jose Officials continue to investigate the fatal incident.
