DUI Driver Arrested after Striking and Killing Woman near Magnolia Street

ANAHEIM, CA (March 23, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, 31-year-old Desiree Robles died following a DUI collision on Katella Avenue.

Officers arrived to the area around 1:30 a.m., near Magnolia Street. According to police, Robles was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by an SUV.

Due to the impact of the crash, Robles suffered critical injuries and later died on scene. Meanwhile, the driver who has yet to be identified stayed and cooperated with the authorities.

Following investigations, the suspect was arrested for DUI.

In addition, the surrounding area was closed during preliminary duties; however, the roadway has since reopened to traffic. Those with further information regarding the crash are encouraged to contact local authorities immediately.
