What happens when you take one of Southern California’s favorite underground outdoor music festivals, condense it down to one night, and pack it into downtown L.A.’s Exchange nightclub? Arguably the most fashionably sweaty dance party of the summer, City Hearts. Desert Hearts, the biannual party whose motto is “House, Techno and Love,” came out of the desert and into the city on Saturday, July 8, where participants flaunted glitter and dance moves to the steady thump of house and techno music from resident DJs Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs and Porkchop.
