The 2013 Depeche Mode Convention took over Avalon on Sunday evening as hardcore fans celebrated the British synthpop band late into the night. DJ Richard Blade, a longtime champion of the band, hosted the event. On stage, tribute band Strangelove played an impeccable set of covers that included B-sides like “Sea of Sin.” Upstairs, fans took part in Depeche Mode karaoke, which had the entire room singing.
