You go to the dentist, you lean back in a chair, he knocks you out with nitrous oxide.

You place a lot of trust in your mouth doctor. For the most part, the trust is well-earned, and you leave with better chompers.

But cops say two girls came forward to make separate allegations that one L.A. County dentist violated their trust as they sat in his chair.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials over the weekend said 51-year-old Mohammed Kader was arrested at the Compton Family Dentistry clinic Thursday.

The girls, 12 and 17, both told parents that “they were brazenly kissed on their lips” by the doc during dental appointments, deputies said in a statement.

The parents told law enforcement about the allegations, the sheriff's department said.

Kader, of Cypress, was arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with a minor and “annoying/molesting a minor,” deputies said.

Authorities are concerned that the dentist might have done this before. They say he worked at Compton Family Dentistry for two years. Before that, officials said, he worked at Western Dental and Brighten Dental offices in San Bernardino County.

The sheriff's department says:

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Special Victims detectives are seeking the help of the public, to identify additional victims during the suspect’s tenure at the Compton and San Bernardino County area dental offices.

Kader was booked in lieu of $120,000 bail but was released Friday, according to sheriff's inmate records. He was scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Compton today.

Anyone with information on the doc was asked to call Special Victims detectives at 877-710-5273.
