About a half-dozen patrons of a downtown Redlands Denny's were cited on suspicion of assault after a girl fight that was caught on tape (video after the jump) broke out over the weekend, police said today.

The brawl involving women in short skirts and minidresses was reported early Sunday morning — apparently after Saturday night's last call — at 9 West Redlands Boulevard, police spokesman Carl Baker confirmed to the Weekly.

It's unclear what sparked the fracas:

Several women appear to get into throwing punches, wrestling and throwing tableware, plates and glasses during the altercation.

The videographer is heard saying, “It's on!”

Skirts and dresses, of course, come up, as they're not exactly regulation MMA gear. Men on the scene are heard saying, “Chill!”

The fight was over by the time Redlands police arrived. No word on injuries.
