36-Year-Old Man Charged after Multi-Car Collision on Clovis Avenue

FRESNO, CA (January 19, 2022) – Police arrested Dennis Barnes Wednesday night, following a multi-vehicle collision on Clovis Avenue.

According to Clovis authorities, U.S. Marshals Officers attempted to arrest Barnes around 4:00 p.m., before the multi-vehicle crash.

Per reports, Barnes struck someone and made his way to Fresno and struck another person near First and Sierra. Shortly after, Barnes took off again and later fled on foot leaving the vehicle behind at Thesta and Bullard.

Eventually, the Clovis Police Department arrested 36-year-old Dennis Barnes. Authorities booked him into Fresno County Jail for a parole violation, evading officers, and assault with a deadly weapon.
